— Winner of the Silver Award at “Net-Zero Taiwan 2025,” a true realization of sustainable design returning “to the origin”
Amid the global wave of net-zero transformation, The Reborne Company and Half Sheep Design joined forces to create a circular exhibition space using ocean waste recycled panels as the core material. This project implements a fully closed-loop system, from material collection at the source to post-exhibition reuse. At Net-Zero Taiwan 2025, the project was honored with the Silver Award for its innovative sustainable practices and traceable circular approach, becoming one of the most representative sustainable design cases at the event.

Giving Ocean Waste a Second Life
For this exhibition, in collaboration with Half Sheep Design, the concept of “material telling its own circular story” guided the design. All structures and display walls on-site were made from recycled panels produced by The Reborne Company. The materials originated from coastal-collected discarded polystyrene and Yakult bottles, which were cleaned, modified, and pressed into new panels—retaining the natural textures and layered hues of ocean waste materials.
"We bring ocean waste back to the stage, and let the stage materials ultimately return to their origin." — The Reborne Company Team

Unlike conventional one-way recycling models, this project realizes a fully closed-loop system where all materials are collected and recycled after the exhibition:
Material sourcing: The Reborne Company collects and sorts ocean waste PS.
Processing: Materials are transformed into recycled ocean waste panels.
Design application: Half Sheep Design creates a modular exhibition space that balances aesthetics and functionality.
Post-exhibition recycling: All panels are collected by The Reborne Company and re-enter the recycling system.
This loop is not merely symbolic—it tracks, logs, and reincorporates materials into the product lifecycle, ensuring waste truly returns to its origin as a continuously renewable resource.

Award Recognition: Turning Sustainability into Action
At Net-Zero Taiwan 2025, the project stood out for its full-life-cycle material approach and quantifiable carbon reduction achievements, earning the Silver Award. The project not only showcases the possibilities of material technology but also integrates sustainable design into corporate brand action.
Through this collaborative model, the project demonstrates to the industry that circular economy is not just a concept—it is a tangible, verifiable, and recyclable reality.
Looking ahead, The Reborne Company will continue to partner with design teams, brands, and exhibition organizers to promote a triad of circular materials, design application, and post-use recycling, enabling exhibitions, commercial spaces, and public facilities to adopt the same closed-loop framework.
Through every recycled panel, the team hopes to convey a simple message to the world: “Waste can also be a starting point.”
